Episode 5.23: Nonfiction Books and Ghostwriting with Laura Gale

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work with a ghostwriter on your book? You’re in luck, because Jodi interviews Laura Gale in this episode of the Write.Publish.Market. podcast about just this thing!

Laura shares how she works with clients to get their voice and their story onto the pages of their book. It is a lengthy process, but can be worth it if you’re looking for help with your book while running your business. Here are a few key things Laura says you need in order to work with a ghostwriter:

  1. You need to have a reason for writing this book. How will it serve your clients and your business. She works with her clients on just this thing.

  2. You need to be far enough along in your business that you’ve got systems and processes in place to properly manage all the potential new clients you’ll get.

  3. Vulnerability is a must. You can’t have someone telling your story if you’re holding back.
