Episode 6.12: Launch + Market Your Book
From Prep To Print Series
Part 4: Launch And Market
‘Launch and market’ is where you put your marketing and launching plans into action. Your book is now not just a book but a book that is out in the world for people to see, read, buy and support you. This phase will help you achieve the goals you set in the ‘commitment and prep’ stage for you and your business, whether that is regeneration, speaking opportunities, or raising your client roster. Remember, marketing is a marathon, not a splint, and you have to continue talking about your book and allowing people to support you consistently after launch day. There are so many ways you can do your marketing. Figure out what marketing push and balance work for you and your book. The only thing that can limit you in marketing is your imagination or budget. Just like anything else, there is a way to DIY marketing or spend a thousand dollars. Choose what works for you.
Join me in the fourth and final episode in the series, From Prep To Print, a series of micro-episodes all about the four stages of the author entrepreneur journey. In this episode, I break down the ‘Launch and market’ stage to give you insight into what happens in this phase and how you can set yourself up for success. ‘Produce and publish’ is a phase where you review the data you have, collect the data you don’t have for your newly launched book, and figure out what your ongoing marketing sustained plan will be.
