Episode 6.9: Commit + Prep to Write Your Book
From Prep To Print Series
Part 1: Commit And Prep
‘Commit and prep stage’ comes before you put pen to paper or fingers on the keyboard to draft part of your book. It’s all the work behind the scene before any writing begins. This includes your book brained up to figure out what you can include in your book and create a working table of content. It also includes starting a writing habit and setting up a realistic production schedule. Your book is like a piece of a funnel. You have to figure out your goals, your audience's goals, and the topic to find the sweet spot you can focus on and drive your writing bus towards.
Join me in the first episode in the series, From Prep To Print, a series of micro-episodes all about the four stages of the author entrepreneur journey. In this episode, I break down the ‘commit and prep’ stage to give you insight into what happens in this phase and how you can set yourself up for success. You don’t have to see the whole staircase when you are writing a book. You just need to see the next step or two in front of you to set up the rest of the stages.
